Aletta J. Kuipers

WHITINSVILLE - Aletta J. (Rus) Kuipers, age 104, of Whitinsville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born in Holland, Michigan the daughter of Rev. A. J. and Tena Rus and graduated from Calvin College in 1937. She married John W. Kuipers in 1938. She taught elementary school and tutored students with learning disabilities in reading. Letty greatly enjoyed travel and visited all 50 states and 6 continents. She loved to walk, was very knowledgeable about plants and birds, was an expert knitter, and an avid reader.

She was a member of Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church. Her family praises God for her example of faithfulness to Jesus Christ and her love of the Word of God.

Aletta was the beloved wife of John W. Kuipers and the mother of Emma (Carl), Marvin (Betty), Peggy, and John (Laurel), grand-mother of Christopher, Emma, Juliana (Colin), Jonathan (Kayla), Christiana, Jared and great-grandmother of Sophia and Gabriel.

Friends and relatives may call at the Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church, 305 Goldthwaite Road, Whitinsville on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 2 - 4 PM followed by a funeral service at 4 PM in the sanctuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church, 305 Goldthwaite Rd., Whitinsville MA 01588, or the Rochester Christian School Foundation, 260 Embury Rd., Rochester NY 14625.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, Whitinsville.
