David E. Gullett, 93

WESTBOROUGH / WEST BOYLSTON - David E. Gullett, 93, a former resident of West Boylston, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2018 at the Westborough Healthcare Center. His beloved wife of 64 years, Marlene A. (Barnes) Gullett, passed away in 2016.

Born in Bellevue, PA and raised in Port Washington, NY, David was the son of the late Edward and Kyle (Fulwider) Gullett. He attended Clarkson University in NY where he received a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and went on to earn his Master's degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He worked for several companies in the field of air pollution control, eventually retiring from Stone and Webster.

David proudly served in the United States Army, stationed overseas during World War II. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in West Boylston and the Greendale Retired Men's Club. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing. He loved his backyard garden, and volunteered his time at Tower Hill Botanic Garden where he was a "Wednesday Weeder" alongside his daughter. David was also an animal lover and had a special place in his heart for dogs.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his two daughters, Deana Montgomery and her husband, David of Stow and Elissa Lindsay and her husband, Paul of Shrewsbury. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren, Andrew and Colin Montgomery, and Kyle, James and John Lindsay.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
