WORCESTER - Eladio Acevedo, 84, of Worcester died Tuesday, August 20 at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Elsie Lugo; two sons, Jorge Acevedo and Albert Acevedo; four daughters, Luz Reyes, Iris Pineda, Maria Almendarez, Carmen Aponte; a step son, Mauel Rodriguez; two step-daughters, Celines Rodriguez and Janette Rosario; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was born in Puerto Rico, son of Cecilio Acevedo and Juana Millet and came to Worcester 35 years ago. He was a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Paul.
The Funeral will be held Friday, August 23, from CALLAHAN AND FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Thursday, August 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
