Linda Kaiser Obituary

Linda S. (Jusseaume) Kaiser

NORTHBOROUGH - Linda S. Kaiser of Northboro, beloved wife of David, died peacefully at home on July 9, 2014 after a courageous 6 year battle with breast cancer.

Born in Marlborough to Helen (Boudreau) and Russell L. Jusseaume, Linda grew-up on Paris Street and enjoyed a very close and loving relationship with her parents and siblings Gary Jusseaume of Marlborough, Janice Petkauskas of W. Yarmouth, and Kevin Jusseaume of W. Boylston. Family was important to Linda and she valued all her family members through good times and challenges.

After graduating from Marlborough High School in 1972, Linda worked as a waitress and also became a certified dental assistant, working for many years at local dental practices. Linda took a break from the dental field to run an in-home daycare for several years. Known for keeping her own home immaculate even with two dogs, Linda decided to open a cleaning service, which she ran until her illness. She truly enjoyed the relationships she built with patients and clients over the years.

Linda was a beautiful woman with an energetic personality, strong work ethic and bright smile. Linda was not timid in expressing her feelings to others or pursuing her goals. Her strong-will and determination allowed her to fight a remarkable battle against her disease while being an inspiration to many. Linda will be dearly missed and certainly never forgotten by the many lives she touched.

In addition to her husband, parents and siblings, Linda is survived by step-son Jeff Kaiser of Westborough, uncles Paul (and Jean) Boudreau of Daytona Beach, FL, Bob (and Mal) Jusseaume of Marlborough, aunt June Groleau of Oxford, brother-in-law Victor Petkauskas of Cape Cod, sister-in-law Lancie Jusseaume of W. Boylston, niece and nephews Lauren (Petkauskas) Houle, Brandon Petkauskas, Peter Jusseaume, Chad Jusseaume, Eric Jusseaume, as wells as many cousins.

Linda's husband would like to thank the many people who provided comfort and encouragement to him and Linda during her illness. Special thanks to Dr. Kathryn Edmiston, nurses and staff of the Cancer Pavilion at Marlborough Hospital, Deb Swenson and past in-home aides Melva, Anne and Mary, and hospice nurse Carlee Davis and staff at Ascend Hospice and Homecare for their dedicated and compassionate care.

Callings hours will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm at the Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St Northborough, MA. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Kizer section (new) of the Howard St Cemetery in Northborough. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CEMETERY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in Linda's name be made to either the Baypath Animal Shelter, 5 Rafferty Road, Hopkinton, MA 01748 or the Cancer Pavilion at Marlborough Hospital, 157 Union St Marlborough, MA 01752. I returned from vacation today and heard this sad news. Linda was a very strong woman, and also my step-mother years ago. I know she fought a good fight with cancer. She always gave everything she did her all. My brother Sean and I and our families send our deepest sympathy to you all.

I am so glad that I got to know her after High School. By being her Hairdresser for a time we shared many conversations of the old days and lifes stuff and even especially her Cancer. She was a true fighter of that horrible disease. My many thoughts and prayers go out there for her Husband and family.
