Jay Zottoli Obituary
Jay William Zottoli, 40
PRINCETON - Jay William Zottoli, 40, passed away in his childhood home in Princeton on Thursday, May 3, 2012.
Jay was a true individual who led life on his own terms. He was a multi-faceted person with many diverse interests. Jay loved the outdoors, was passionate about trees and attended the Stockbridge School at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where he studied arboriculture. An avid traveler, he loved to immerse himself in the culture of the places that he visited. He and his wife, Lian, had many happy times together during their numerous adventures. Jay was a dedicated car enthusiast who spent hours with his dad, Bill, fixing and restoring classic cars. He was a proud member of the Ty-Rods, the oldest Hot Rod Club on the east coast. He looked forward to attending meetings and working on special events with his dad and fellow Ty-Rod members.
He was fond of the arts and drawing, a talent that he shared with his mom, Peggy. He also loved to have spirited discussions on particle physics and string theory with his niece, Gabriela. Jay will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Jay leaves behind his wife, Goklyan "Lian" Simamora-Zottoli; his loving parents, William "Bill" and Margaret "Peggy" (Kincner) Zottoli; his sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Bob DeFosse; his niece, Gabriela DeFosse; his aunt and uncle, Valerie and Paul Zottoli; cousins, Craig Zottoli and his partner Kelly and his cousin Stephen Zottoli and his wife Mindy, all of Princeton. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Lena Zottoli of Holden.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Jay's life on Wednesday, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mountain Barn Restaurant, 174 Worcester Road (Rte. 31), Princeton.
