Michael J. Sprouse, 26
Framingham - Michael Joseph Sprouse of Framingham, MA. Originally from Sturbridge, MA, died unexpectedly in his sleep on April 29, 2013. He was 26 years old.
Michael was born August 4, 1986. He graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School and Bridgewater State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He also completed several certified law enforcement programs in an effort to someday fulfill his dream of becoming a Police Officer. While attending college, Michael worked as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the towns of Southbridge and Randolph.
For the past 4 years, Mike worked as a Security and Loss Prevention Manager for Macy's Department Store in Natick. He was recently hired as Security Director for Lord & Taylor in Salem, NH. He was to begin his position for Lord & Taylor on May 1, 2013.
Michael enjoyed life to the fullest and excelled in everything he attempted. He was an avid athlete who played soccer from Kindergarten at Burgess Elementary School through his years on the Tantasqua High School soccer team and on the Bridgewater State College soccer team. Michael also played on several travel soccer teams, baseball for the Town of Sturbridge, was captain of his high school track team. His most recent sports pastime was golf.
Above all, Mike prioritized family and friends. There was always laughter whenever Mike was around.
He will be horribly missed by his Fiancé, Fatima Khweiss, with whom he shared a life and had planned a future with. His parents, Dennis and Christine (Materas) Sprouse of Sturbridge; his maternal grandmother, Diane Irwin of Webster; his twin sister, Jessica Sprouse of Sturbridge and his sister, Heather Dewey of Mount Laurel, NJ, two brothers, Dennis Sprouse II of Webster and Sean Rogers of Auburn. He also leaves his nephew, Alex Dewey of NJ; several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Michael leaves us all with unspeakably broken hearts. He will be forever missed and forever loved.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 4th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Anne's Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge. Burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Sturbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Friday, May 3rd, from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
