Kachadoor Kachagian Obituary
Millbury - Kachadoor "Kach" Kachagian, 90, died Wednesday, January 18, at the CareOne at Millbury. His wife, Elizabeth (Setian) Kachagian died in 1976. He leaves a son, Gregory Kachagian, of Northbridge, a daughter, Lynda Kachagian, of Watertown, a daughter Sandra, and her husband Lawrence Breitborde, of Gailsburg, IL; a grandson Nicholas Breitborde, and his wife Nicole, and 2 great grandsons, Noah and Nathan, in Ohio; and his sister, Sonia Dodakian, of Worcester. He was predeceased by his brother, Sarkis.
Mr. Kachagian was born May 1, 1926, in Northbridge, a son of Garabed and Marion (Hekimian) Kachigian. He attended the Northbridge Schools and enlisted in the Navy in 1944. He served his country in both World War II and the Korean War. As a self-employed carpenter, he was one of the founders of SUPCO, a commercial window installation company. He was a long time member of the carpenters' union. He enjoyed watching television and movies, but especially enjoyed the company and time spent with his family.
Mr. Kachagian's Funeral is Monday, January 23, at 11:00AM, in the Armenian Apostolic Church, Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Greg i am very sorry to see that your dad has passed.he was a great guy. i had met him some years back when i did body work on his car. he at one time did a great favor for me and got me out of a jam i was in. i always held him dear in my heart and thought of him often. every time he came to see me he always spoke of his son Greg. he was very proud of you. may god be with you and Kach at this very sad time. he was old school one of the best. God bless you all
