We loved Aunt Marian very much. She was a gem. Her Concord historic knowledge was a wonderful match for Brad's passion for American colonial history and she made great effort while he was young for us all to experience the start of the Revolutionary War. Whether it be watching Daws ride into town, or the battle on the bridge, she shared it all with enthusiasm. One year we stayed overnight at her home and woke up very early to experience the battle on Lexington Green. When we woke at the designated time, we discovered Marian had been up, was dressed and had made coffee, hot chocolate and English muffins to sustain us for our journey. That's just the way she was - generous, welcoming and enthusiastic - and we will always remember her that way. We were - and everyone was truly blessed to have Marian in our lives!

Lou Beauregard and I were Presidents years ago in the Concord Genealogy Group. Marian had so much information about Concord and genealogy, we asked her advice often.
If my memory serves me correctly, she was the one who suggested we have a "tea" party to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
I have since moved from Acton in l999, but have paid dues so I could receive the news letter about the meetings of this organization.
We honored Marion when she came to our meetings and she often had answers to members' questions.
Thank you for your helpful answers to our genealogy questions.
