Joanne and I extend our deepest condolences to Jeanne and the entire family on Ed's passing. He was an excellent reporter at both the Times and T&G who captured local news in a most interesting manner - especially recalling many colorful characters from Webster's and Dudley's rich past. He was fair and accurate in his reporting of my political career throughout his tenure! No one could ever call his writing "fake news." He was the consummate newspaper professional and a true gentleman of the "old school." We will miss him! Our prayers are with Ed, his family, and friends.

To Jeanne, Jean Ellen, Michelle, Joel & Kathryn
It is with deep sorrow and sadness that Linda and I have learned of Ed's passing. You have our deepest sympathy and condolences. To me Ed was more than a colleague. He was my mentor, my teacher, my counselor but most importantly "my friend" A true journalist in every sense of the word, he reported the news fairly and honestly and his contributions to the community will be remembered long after his passing. Rest in Peace my Friend until we meet again. You will always be loved and remembered in our prayers.

Joel , You always spoke lovingly about your Dad. I can tell from his friends that he touched people and enriched their lives for the better. We are deeply sorry for your loss.

Dear Mrs. Patenaude, Jean Ellen, Michelle, Joel and Kathy,
I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I have the most beautiful childhood memories of time spent with all of you when we were neighbors on Harris Street and Spring Street! How I delightfully remember going to the ice cream shop on Main Street on a Sunday morning with Mr. Patenaude. I always had a dish of coffee ice cream -- his treat every time! I don't recall what you had, Jean Ellen (I only remember you as Jean Ellen, not Jean!), but I do know that we always went with your Dad for our Sunday treat! Your house was a second home to me -- I was always welcomed there! Mr. Patenaude, I know that my childhood was blessed by your gentle and kind
spirit. May you experience the peace and joy in the heavenly kingdom and may God "hold you in the hollow of his hand!"
With love, Mary Jo

Michelle and Family: Mike and I send our sincere condolences on the passing of your father. Webster has lost a true treasure with his passing. His knowledge of the town and its history was amazing. Again, our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. He was the most knowledgeable citizen of Webster on town history and a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. If you needed to know anything about this town all you had to do was ask Ed and if he didn't know he would find out. Ed and his wife were always so very kind to my son Anthony and myself while they were at Christopher Heights. I will miss listening to all his knowledge and his stories of which he had many. God Bless!
