SCALLY, William Patrick Was born into this life on March 11, 1936 in St. Louis, MO. He went home to be with his parents, Thomas and Mary, on August 24, 2013. He joins his brother, Tom; sisters, Ann, Pat, Eileen and Helen; and his sweet dog, Sam. Most importantly, he finally gets to hug his beloved grandson, Brian Patrick Ceseretti again. After meeting on a blind date, he married the love of his life, Margaret Schaefer. 54 years together resulted in a lot of laughs, happiness and four children, Sean (Deb), Tracy Ceseretti (Tom), Timothy, and Kelly Prosise (Jerry). In addition to Marge, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Rams, and a hot cup of coffee, Bill's greatest joy was his eleven grandkids: Brian, Tim, Katie, Billy, Jeff, Michael, Case, Meredith, Casey, Molly, Grace and his great-grandson, Brian Michael. Bill served in the U. S. Navy, was on the University City Police force in St. Louis, MO and worked as an adjuster/litigation consultant for several insurance companies. However, he will be best known for his inspiring coaching abilities for his children and grandchildren. Bill was everything a father should be: strong, loving and compassionate. He was quick with a comeback-his sense of humor is legendary. Bill was a stubborn Irishman through and through. Uncle Bill will be loved and missed by his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by one brother, Dale. The family would also like to thank the staff of Aspen Arbor at NHC Cool Springs for their loving care and countless cups of hot coffee for Bill! A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN on Wednesday morning, the 28th of August, 2013 at eleven o'clock, with Father Mike Johnston officiating. The family cordially invites friends to gather with them at the church for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's name to: his son Tim's home - The Nabi House, 907 Stoneway Dr., Lebanon, TN 37087 or for Tuition Assistance at: Father Ryan High School, 700 Norwood Dr., Nashville, TN 37204. Please celebrate Bill's life with laughter and always remember to paint your wagon and come along!

We thought the world of Bill. We worked with him at CNA and then he graciously came and helped at Harleysville several times. His wit was unsurpassed. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Bill was one of the best people I ever knew . I worked with him at CNA, he was my direct supervisor. he always had a joke and was one of the most real persons you could meet. I'm a black guy and there were times when I felt I was being judged by the color of my skin but bill saw no color and he treated every one kindly and with respect.."GOD CAN ONLY SAY WELL DONE TO HIS SOUL."
