Born July 27, 1925 in Ukraine, and passed away March 9, 2014 at Alive Hospice Residence.
Suffered through WWII, came to USA with young wife and son, with only a suitcase. Worked until 80 years old as farmer, caretaker of St. Mary's Orphanage, Diplomat Farms, Scovill Schrader, and landscaping.
Preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Katherine. So saddened by her loss, only Church and friends "kept him alive."
Survived by sons, Wolodymyr and John; daughter, Julie (Gary) Leturmy; grandsons, Matthew and Scott Rowenczak, and Garrett Leturmy; granddaughter, Maya Rowencak.
Visitation will be at Taylor Funeral Home, 214 N. Main St., Dickson, TN from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, with Rosary at 4 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills, Hwy. 100. Pallbearers will be Dieter Instinski, Charley Freeman, Willis Roberts, and Jerry Lampley.
