HERRMAN, George William (Bill), 69, was born in Cleveland, OH, May 16, 1945. He passed away at his home in Hermitage, TN on June 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herold George Herrman and Janice Randall Herrman.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Starr "Cricket" Herrman and daughter Kelly Jo Herrman. Also survived by brothers Randall Herrman, Bob Herrman and sister Pat Koenig. He is also survived by many close and loving nieces and nephews.

Bill received an associates degree from Cuyahoga Community College and attended Ohio State University, where he was a member of the Ohio State Marching Band. Bill's love for plants was evident in the care he gave them. He loved horses, and trained walking horses in his teenage and early adult life. He loved snow skiing and was an avid reader. Bill retired from the Metro Nashville Tax Assessors office. Bill was self-taught in many areas that most studied formally, but he had tremendous impact on people he mentored and taught in the areas of energy, mind-body connection and nutrition. Bill was devoted to his wife and daughter. His patient, kind, mannerly disposition was loved and appreciated by his family, friends, co-workers and all who knew him. He was a true gentle man with a loving, kind heart and soul. His spirituality was very strong and personal.

A celebration of life will be held July 8 at Phillips Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN at 5:30 p.m. with visitation prior to starting at 3:30 p.m.
