BELCHER, JR., Dr. Ervin Curtis Died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home in Dickson, TN. He was 71. Born in Russellville, KY to the late Ervin Curtis Belcher, Sr. and Carrie McMillen Belcher, Dr. Belcher graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1965 and from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1969. Over a long and distinguished career, Dr. Belcher practiced dentistry in various settings throughout the world, including the University of Kentucky and Vanderbilt University
, where he held faculty positions; the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and at dental practices in Nashville, TN, Dubai, and, most recently, Hohenwald, TN. Dr. Belcher is survived by his sons, John Overton Belcher and Jason Lang Belcher, both of Nashville; his granddaughter and one brother, Otis Belcher of Clarksville, TN. Funeral services for Dr. Belcher will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Russellville, KY. Visitation at the Trinity Episcopal Church Parrish House will be held immediately prior at 1:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, or the Nashville Humane Association.
