REAVIS, James Alton "Jim"October 18, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Nannie Henkel Reavis. He is survived by his children, George Marshall Scott Reavis and his wife Lindsay, James Alton Reavis, Jr. and Jennifer Ashley Maclean; his grandchildren, Ella Reavis and Camille and Caroline Maclean; also survive him as well as cousins, James and Mary Armistead and Pat and Frank Bell. Jim graduated from Vanderbilt University with honors where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, received his MBA from the University of Chicago and then served in the U.S. Army. His professional career was spent as a financial executive on Wall Street. For the past twenty years Jim has lived in Nashville. Although physically challenged, Jim had a keen sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh, always putting them at ease. The family would like to thank Jim's caregivers on the third floor at Richland Place for the loving care provided to him. To honor and remember his life, there will be a visitation from noon until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 23rd at Woodmont Christian Church.
