Ginger, I am so sorry for your loss. I love your family and I did not know until today that you lost Steve. I was searching online to find out how you were doing from the flooding (bad, I know) and found out this news. My prayers and love are with you,

I never had the pleasure of meeting Steve in person, but I had the pleasure of working with him through HCA and the many times I spoke with him over the phone. He not only rose to the top with his knowledge and professionism, but he made you feel as though he had known you all his life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those that Steve truly touched during his journey with us.

Ginger, my heart goes out to you and your family in this time of sorrow. I am so blessed to have known and worked with Steve at HCA. His gifts of kindness and humor were very special. I will always remember his way of dealing with customers as the gold standard for customer service. His knowledge, patience and integrity were always evident in everything he did. He was truly the epitome of a "southern gentleman". I grew up in Lake Charles and we always had fun conversations about "home" and good Cajun food. But what I remember most was how much he loved his family. You all were always the center of his life and he loved you so much. I'll always have wonderful memories of him and I will keep your family in my prayers. I'll miss him.

I, like many others Steve has touched, will be eternally grateful for the unparalleled mentoring and friendship that I received while working with him. His patience and selflessness was truly a gift and helped me learn and grow, professionally, in ways I could never have imagined. The belief and kinship he instilled in me will never be forgotten.
May his family find peace and solace in knowing that they are in the thoughts and prayers of so many.

Ginger, Hillary, and Little Man,
Please know that you're in our prayers.
Steve was a genuine Godly person who continued giving God the glory through all his suffering and we find our comfort in knowing he's one of God's angels joining all those others whom we loved that have gone on before us.
What a beautiful family...We love you all.

Steve and I never had the opportunity to meet in person in the many years we've "known" each other through our employment with HCA. Steve was always there for me and many, many others, both professionally and personally. I can honestly say that I have not "met" a finer man than Steve. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his immediate and very large extended family.
