I am so sorry for our loss. Dr DeHart was a true Healer. I remembered some of his Healing techniques including Water Skiing in Sunny San Antonio. If that didn't cure your Blues than maybe a trip to FudRuckers or a Large Helping Of Home Made Ice Cream. Thanks for being a part of my Life. Dr Rick Decker CAPTAIN USCG DDS.

Roy was a special mentor and teacher to all his students. I have never met anyone quite like him since my residency days in OK City for Occupational Medicine. He taught me so much more that just facts and medicine. He was a true Christian and very kind person. He will be deeply misses having touched so many lives. May God's peace rest with you.

While I did not know of Dr DeHart personally, I came to know of him shortly after coming to work at Vanderbilt. All of his co-workers adored him and he touched their lives deeply. I wish I had met such a warm soul. What a wonderful sense of humor and an immense wealth of knowledge from a life well lived. -Gregory Ray

Roy (Dr. DeHart) was a mentor to me going back 30y in Tulsa OK. Honestly he was one of the most pleasant, patient, kind, and intelligent people I have ever met. The world was a better place with him and I'm certain he will be missed by many. Rest in peace my friend and I am looking forward to seeing you in the afterlife!

Dear Julia, John and Evelyn, and families,

This morning when I opened my email from a busy day yesterday, I was shocked to find your message, Julia, about Roy's passing. Tried to call from my address files but noted a (918) disconnected number. Am sending deepest condolences and sympathies to you and your family. As you know from our long association at Prestwick Air Base in Scotland from 1962-65, we had some great times and professional work together. I also noted, Dr. Bob Thomas on the condolences list.....my doctor at Bien Hoa Air Base in Vietnam. Julia, not much to say here, but I want to talk with you. Please send me a quick note with the new phone number. Remembering my fraternity brother with great respect who will be missed among many friends, family and his legions of medical professionals around the world. I will miss him and have treasured yours and Roy's friendships over the years. My deepest sympathies as you go forward. Hope to talk with you soon!

Dear Julia,

Lois and I were devastated by the news. We did so many things, and had such happy times, together since our residency days in 1965. He has such a legacy in students, his work as a true Christian, helping workers and their families, and in countless other ways.

Our prayers are with you and your family.

Opa was so warming and accepting of me when Chris and I started dating and even more welcoming once we were married. Every trip to his house was a learning experience and his sense of humor always had me laughing. He will be deeply missed but our love of him will continue to grow.

Dr Dehart was a visionary, a kind and gentle person and incredible teacher. He also accepted and espoused the truth that the team of medical providers is not just the doctors but also the PA's and NP's. He will be very sorely missed in the Aerospace Medicine and Occupational Medicine Worlds.
