NASHVILLE, TN
Carol Jean (Finney) Sparks, age 77 of Nashville formerly of Cowan, died February 29, 2016 at Trevecca Health Care. She was born August 7, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Strickle) Finney. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Carlos H. Sparks; sons, Gregory Allen Sparks and Kris William Sparks; brothers, Franklin Finney and Larry Finney; and sister Sandra Finney. She is survived by her brother, Ted Finney of Lawrenceville, Ohio; daughter, Claudia (Richard) Welch of Hendersonville, TN; sons, Steve (Jean) Sparks of Hendersonville, TN, Randy (Vickie) Sparks of Houston, TX, Carl Sparks of Hendersonville, TN, and Jonathan (Teresa) Sparks of Thompson Station, TN; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2016 at The Bethel campus of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene at 455 Broadmoor Drive, Nashville, TN with Rev. Bob Milburn officiating. Burial will be in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery in Cowan, TN. Friends may call from 10:00 AM Friday until the time of service at the church.
