Dorothy Revell Anderson of Nashville died peacefully at Richland Place in Nashville on March 12, 2016; she was 97 years old.

Mrs. Anderson belonged to the Lakeland Christian Women's Association; was a member of the Harpeth Heights Baptist Church; was an avid bowler; loved golf and ceramics. She was an active member of the NCO Wives Club, and loved to travel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Myrtie Jordan Revell; husband of 75 years Mr. Kaylup S. Anderson; and sister Hazel Fisher.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by daughters Andrea Anderson Brooks (John H., III), and Dottie Lynn Mosby (David); son Dennis Michael Anderson (Betty Lou); grandchildren Hunter Brooks (Sherri), Case Mosby (Kathryn), Katie Stetson (Shawn), Sarah Gummig (Brad), Tyler Anderson (Leah), and Michael Anderson; great grandchildren Paige and Blake Stetson, Everett, Tucker, and Sullivan Anderson, and Adelyn Gummig.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, 37221 on Wednesday at 12:30 pm; visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Anderson requested that you do not vote for Hillary Clinton in the Presidential Elections. Donations may be made to the Harpeth Heights Baptist Church.

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 will bring you comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be reassuring.
