SCHWALLIE, Sgt. Jacob MichaelAge 22 of Clarksville, TN, died in action in Afghanistan on May 7, 2012. Jake was a 2007 graduate of Rossview High School, Clarksville, TN. He served in the U.S. Army since October 2008, including one tour in Iraq, and was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12th at Madison Street United Methodist Church, 319 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN. Reverend Cliff Wright, Jr., Senior Pastor, officiating. Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service in the Narthex of the church. Survivors include his parents, Thomas C. and Melinda Schwallie; sister, Rachel C. Schwallie, all of Clarksville; grandmothers, Etta Schwallie Roach (Gene), Knoxville, TN and Bettye Pyron, Clarksville; step-brother, Stuart (Nashayra) Schwallie, their children, Abigail and Andy, all of Fayetteville, NC; uncles, David Pyron, Cincinnati, OH and Charles (Janice) Pyron, Brentwood, TN; cousins, Ben (Melissa) Pyron and Blake (Anna) Pyron, all of Spring Hill, TN. Preceded in death by grandfathers, Jim Schwallie and Joe Mack Pyron. A private burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
