Aunt Jan. I really don't even know where to begin. She was always there for me and took really good care of my family when we needed her most. I'm gonna miss her more than she'll ever know, but knowing that I'll get to see her again someday brings comfort. I'll always remember all the good things she did for everyone. She was an awesome babysitter, an amazing mother, and a best friend for many. I love you so much Aunt Jan and miss you every day!

I love you Gamma!

The Jan I knew revealed a warm, kind, genuine heart and spirit. She was usually smiling or laughing when I was around her. Perhaps, her greatest legacy from my perspective is her beautiful daughter, Misty and her handsome son, Dusty. She did an admirable job raising her children to become the wonderful adults they are today. Not to mention all of the children's lives she touched and help mold. She has gone to receive her sweet reward. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives she touched.

Jan was such a nice loving person. I love her so much and I will miss her a lot. I will never forget all the sweet memories we had. I always told her how much I loved her. Even though she is in a better place, I wish she was here with me. I will always love her! I love you, Jan!

jan is and will always be loved, and missed by me. She was a fun person to be around. Her personality and sense of humor will never be matched. She was a dreamer, and didn't mind calling in the middle of the night to let you know it. I never did mind answering the phone for her, even at three in the morning. We have all lost an important person, but we have to be thankful for the time we had.

My entire life is filled with memories of Jan. I did not only lose my aunt but "my other mother".She always looked out for me and tried to steer me in the right direction. During my childhood if we were not at home mom and Jan had taken the four of us and which ever kids they were keeping that day somewhere. As I grew older and faced many changes in my life, she was always there, even after mom moved to Florida and I needed a place to stay she opened her home to me. She has been the one that if I needed a shoulder to cry on I could call her or go see her and she would give me the same advice I would expect from momma. I hope she knows how much she meant to me and always will. I know she will be greatly missed and no one will every be able to fill the place she holds in our hearts and lives. As we travel the road of grieving together I will pray for you all, just remember the GREAT memories and know she loved you too!

When i started dateing Judy, Jan would charge her daddy five dollars to bring his paper to him. This was Jan!
I always made Jan laugh. She would ask me titles to some old song she knew some words to. This was Jan!
She liked it when I sang some old funny songs for her like(Poor old ugly Gladis Jones) and (I love) by Tom T Hall. Sometimes she thought I was making them up. This was Jan!
I love Jan and will truly miss her!

Losing someone special
Is a terrible thing to bear
It's the kind of shock for which
We simply never can prepare
One moment we are smiling
And the next is filled with tears.
And losing one we love does not
Get easier with years.
But please remember you have friends
To help ease your way
Who share your loss and care for you
Far more than words can say.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

My memory of Jan: Jan was my cousin. Her mother was my mothers older sister Inez. Jan was older than me and when we were kids I would go to Judy and Jan's and they loved to torment me. Jan would tell me the house was haunted and turn lights off and make me think something was going to get me. I'm going to miss that wit she had. She got it honestly. It was in her genes. A part of our family died Monday. I wished I had spent more time with her. Time just passes so fast. I'll just say we don't say we love each other enough. I hope she knew I loved her and asked about her often. I will miss her...

To Jan and her family, I am so sorry I can't be there. Moments like these you really regret not being near your family to support them at such a difficult time. For me I will always remember Jan smiling or making a joke with my mother Bonnie, Judy or my Aunt Juanita, they were all funny together, and also just being a really sweet person to all of us. She will be missed so much!

Jan. We've all been through so many ups and downs between you and and my family that It can't be thought of as anything else but as one. You and Dennis have meant everything to myself, Kim, Levi, Avery & Tennille that it can't even be expressed in words. I'm still in shock and can't believe you're gone. But, I know you're in a better place and we'll all meet up again together someday. We love you!

Jan,
You were one of the most wonderful people god gave me the blessing of knowing. To know someone who loved and cared for her family and friends as much as you did is an inspiration to us all. I will miss you, your jokes, and your friendship. To know you are with so many people who loved you is the only thing that helps. You are free from worry and pain and are now another guardina angel looking over us. I love you. Elaine

As you grew up in my home with my daughter Judy (Jackson) Hamilton. There is so much I wish I could say to you. I know Judy was at your house as much as you were at her's. You were not only her friend but you were friends with all the family. As you feel the brush of angel's wings just know the Jackson family is here missing you but rejoicing as we know you are sitting at Jesus feet. We will miss you.
