Carlton C. "Da" Hunter, age 82, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his residence.
Preceded in death by parents, Buford and Lela Hunter; sister, Josephine Hunter.
Survived by wife, Ruth; son, Joe Howard Hunter; daughter, Deborah (Dale) Leftwich; sister, Mildred Hart; grandchildren, Kimberly (Steven) Jolley, Jeremy (Lindsay) Leftwich, Holly Leftwich, Jo-Jo Hunter, Justin Hunter, Nathan Hunter; great-grandchildren, Hunter Nicole Jolley, Tyler Jolley, Jalen Hunter, Anna Grace Hunter, Alicia Hunter.
Mr. Hunter was a retiree of Unarco as a Tool & Die maker. After retirement he worked at The Church at Grace Park for 12 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and devoted member of The Church at Grace Park.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, October 12th at the Village Chapel at The Church at Grace Park, with Bro. Bob Cook officiating. Interment service to follow at White House Memorial Gardens, with Jeremy Leftwich, Steven Jolley, Jo-Jo Hunter, Justin Hunter, Kevin Cook, Caleb Cook, Steven Gillespie, Jon Brooks as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers: Gordon Callaway and Tyler Jolley.
Visitation Saturday, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Village Chapel.
