ZERGIEBEL, Charlie "Z to his friends"Age 81 of Nashville, TN. Passed away on November 25, 2012. Born July 5, 1931 in Badin, NC to the late Charles P. and Lucy Locke Zergiebel. He attended Purdue University and graduated in 1954. He was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. He was a First Lt. in the U.S. Army, Chemical Corps and the U.S. Amy Reserves and awarded National Defense Service Medal. After his military service Charlie worked for CNA Insurance and was awarded the Care Award by CNA for his superior job performance. He retired from CNA after a long, prosperous career. He will be sadly missed by the residents and staff of Richland Place, as well as other close friends in Nashville and Memphis. Charlie loved sports attending Vanderbilt games or watching Purdue play. He also enjoyed traveling to sports events with his closest friends. He loved movies, BBQ, and boating with friends. His sweet smile, gentle spirit, and wittiness will be missed. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. until 12 noon, Friday, November 30, 2012 with a memorial service at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Westminster's Living Waters for the World, 3900 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37205.
