ALBERTS, Reverend Edward T.Age 65, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brentwood, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Vanderbilt Hospital. Father Alberts was born in Logansport, Indiana on June 13, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Alberts and Dolores Alberts of Franklin, TN and sister, Kathaleen Pasquale of Franklin, TN. Father Alberts is survived by three nieces, Annette Shaver, (Trey) of Fairview, TN, Suzanne Thompson (Chris), of Murfreesboro, TN, Christine Randolph (Tiford), of Brentwood, TN; one brother, Steven K. Alberts (Anne), of Grovetown, GA; two nephews Brendan Alberts, Chicago, IL and Brian Alberts, Bethesda, MD. Father Alberts also has several great nieces and nephews. Father Alberts was ordained by Bishop James D. Niedergeses on May 24, 1975 at St. Edward Church in Nashville. He served several parishes in the diocese prior to serving as the first pastor of Holy Family Church in Brentwood since July 19, 1989. Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, June 24 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:30 conducted by Fr. Titus Augustine. On Tuesday, June 25, there will be visitation at 9 a.m. at Holy Family with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. with the Most Reverend Bishop David Choby serving as celebrant with Father John Henrick, homilist.
