BAXTER, Grafton D.Age 85 of Hendersonville. January 24, 2013. Mr. Baxter was a WWII veteran with the U.S. Army and an active bowler and fisherman. Preceded in death by his parents, Zoll and Annie May Baxter, and brothers, Russell and Clayton Baxter. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jean Cato Baxter; son, Dwane (Linda) Baxter, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael (Rachel) Baxter, Connie Meyer, Bryan (Lauren) Baxter, Brittany (Justin) Smith and Kyle (Chelsea) Meyer; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Addison and Kamrynn Baxter, Ashley and Jade Meyer; Gavin, Ryder and Beuhring Smith; sister, Gertrude (Wayne) Toombs. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Hendersonville today, Friday, January 25th from 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until service. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., Larry Graham officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville.
