Gretchen Copp Obituary

COPP, GretchenPassed away at her residence in Kenner, LA on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late James Louis Copp (married March 26, 1951); daughter of the late Carl William Werth and Gretchen "Oma" Reuthal Werth; mother of Gary Lee Copp (wife, Jane Copp) and Cathy Leigh Copp; grandmother of Kathryn Werth Copp; sister of Rosemary Werth Buckley (husband, Donald Buckley); aunt of Christopher Buckley, Lori Buckley Wrobel and Juliane Buckley Jackson, and many great nieces and nephews. Gretchen's love of life was her family, friends, the Saints, her many world travels, entertaining, bridge, tennis and Garden Club. As a devoted parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, she wholeheartedly believed and trusted in her God, the Blessed Mother, and her Catholic Faith. She will be sadly missed by all of her loving family and many friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Philip Neri, 6600 Kawanee Ave., Metairie, LA on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to National Seelos Shrine and The Seelos Center, 2030 Constance Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 preferred.
