Not sure what to say?

Minister Cindy Smith

October 7, 2009

To Mr. Steve Land, Family & Friends:

I was in your fair city a week ago; and while I was there visiting, I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Land when I went to view Ms. Barbee at the funeral home.

Nashville has lost a true treasure in Ms. Barbee. I had no idea she had served on the radio for 65 years.

As far as I can remember, she was on the radio. I grew up listening to her. I left Nashville and joined the Navy, and I've been gone for over 30 years. I can still hear her beautiful voice as she made all those community announcements and and spun those spirituals.

Her listening audience was her family. Growing up I never heard anyone say anything bad or negative about her. What an awesome testimony.

I often say, "If we want to hear God say "Well Done" we have to do well."

Well Done Sister Barbee.
Well Done!

Thanks for the memories.

I remember growing up listening to Sis.
Barbee on the radio, and I also had the opportunity to attend a program where she was the Mistress of Ceremony. She was truly a beautiful person, and her love for the Lord was evident. May God Bless you and I'm sure she is "high stepping" in heaven!
