PACE, Marky Bess Goetz GoodpastureAge 58, passed away at home on April 24, 2012 in Nashville, TN, after her fifteen month journey with a glioblastoma brain tumor. She was preceded in death by father, Fremont Goetz; mother, Freddie Joan Armstrong Goetz Goodpasture; and step-father, B.C. Goodpasture. She is survived by her daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Goetz Pace (Bradley Buckingham) and Amanda Caroline Goetz Pace; granddaughter, Savanna Violet Buckingham; sister, Mandy Goetz (Roger) Myers; former husband, Douglas Dwight Pace; and numerous family members and friends. She was born on January 3, 1954 in Sikeston, MO and was a resident of Nashville since the age of nine. She was a graduate of David Lipscomb High School, Freed-Hardeman University, and Lipscomb University (B.A. - Theater). Marky was Vice President of First Southern Savings and Loan ('75-'95), now Capital Bank. Her passions were music, theater, travel, art, nature, and animals. Marky, a true adventurer, never met a stranger and epitomized unconditional love. Family will receive friends Friday, April 27th, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be conducted from the chapel at Mount Olivet Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 28th. An inurnment will follow at a later date.
