Obituary Condolences

HATCHER, Roy S.Age 88 of Madison. Metro District Fire Chief Retired. Mr. Hatcher was retired from the Metro Fire Department after 35 years service. He had been a resident at the Maybelle Carter Senior Adult Community for over 7 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancye B. Hatcher. He is survived by his sons, Shelton Hatcher and Jimmy (Carolyn) Hatcher; daughters, Elaine Stephens and Carolyn (Wes) Hall; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Hatcher's family will receive friends from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home, with Dr. Duane Tyus officiating. A Masonic service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Saturday October 18, 2008 from the Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Van Tassel, Sonny Nolan, Mickey Miller, Sonny Miller and the Metro Fire Fighters. Active Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
