Alvis Taylor, age 98 of Gallatin, passed away, Monday, February 17, 2014.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, February 20th at 2 p.m., from Crestview Memory Park, with Dr. Charles Moffatt officiating. Grandsons and nephews will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20th from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Taylor was born January 7, 1916 in Cato, TN to the late William I. and Mary Jane Beasley Massey. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Earl F. Taylor; her parents, six brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo Lesemann of Gallatin; grandsons, William L. Lesemann, Jr., Louis F. Lesemann (Heather Anderson), Robert T. Lesemann (Ginger) and Alexander R. Lesemann; great-granddaughters, Sarah Lesemann, Catharine Lesemann, and Hanna Lesemann; sister-in-law, Irma Crowell Massey, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Taylor was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Bethpage Chapter of Eastern Star.
