Dorothy Faye Ussery DeVault
Age 79, born July 4, 1934, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 28, 2014.
Preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Odell Ussery and Hazel Lucille Ussery Barham; and 3 brothers, Lewis R. Ussery, Franklin Ussery and Charles Ussery.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glyn DeVault; daughter, Dawn (Terry) Hudson; grandchildren, Seth, Zachary (Kinsey) and Alexandra; great-grandson, Reese; sisters, Mary (Glenn) Hickman and Sue (Terry) Gibson; brother, Jimmy (Wanda) Ussery; and nieces and nephews.
She was raised in Giles County, in the Campbellsville Community, where she graduated from Campbellsville High School. After graduation, she moved to Nashville where she met and married her husband on February 23, 1957. After 4 years of military service, they returned to Nashville. They are long time members of Haywood Hills Baptist Church.
Our grateful thanks to the J.O.Y. Sunday School class for their love and support during this time. A "special thanks" to Dr. Randy Fullerton, Dr. Stacy Davis, Dr. Ryan Roberts and Dr. William Wassynger for their care and kindness during this extended illness. We would also like to thank Alive Hospice for their care and support.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Haywood Hills Baptist Church, by Pastor Phillip Barnett and Pastor Lance Wamble, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Private Family Graveside Services. Family & friends will serve as Pallbearers.
