Age 78, June 6, 2014. Survived by his daughter, Heather D. Graffagnino (Chris); grandchildren, C. Joseph Graffagnino and Zachary E. Graffagnino; brother, Gerald DeVaney (Barbara); sisters, Joy Sullivan (Brian) and Marilyn Smith.

Mr. Devanney was beloved by his entire family. He was a prolific singer/songwriter, having songs recorded by Charlie Pride, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Barbara Mandrell, Ray Price and many more. "Someone Loves You Honey" by Charlie Pride and "Cry, Cry, Cry" by Highway 101 were his two #1 records, and "Listening to the Rain" recorded by Johnny Russell and the Osborne Brothers is a bluegrass standard. He will be remembered for his exceptional talent, his unique humor and his friendship to many.

A Memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Henry Catholic Church.

A gathering of family and friends will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Brown's Diner, 2102 Blair Blvd, Nashville, TN 37212.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MusiCares, 1904 Wedgewood Ave., Nashville, TN 37212.
