Talisha Lynette Pinkerton Newsom

Nashville, TN

Miss Talisha Lynette Pinkerton Newsom graced this world with her presence on the morning of Wednesday, January 13, 1988. Forming an inseparable bond with her mother and claiming her father's heart, she easily became the answer to why life should not be so hard. She embraced those that ever met or saw her with an angelic charm and helped those with disabilities to be seen with no alarm. For 26 glorious years, she graced lives with her essence and taught us how to be omnipresent; and as gracefully as she lived, Talisha quietly slipped away after smiling for her mother on the never forgettable morning of Thursday, July 24, 2014. Selfishly, we are saddened by her going away, but are rejoicing for her final greatness and being whole again (today).

Talisha is being welcomed home by her grandfather, Charles Pinkerton, Sr.; cousin, Darius Holt; aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, the most heavenly host.

In our gratitude, she leaves to tell her story mother and biggest supporter, Terri; father and heart holder, Quintin, Sr.; siblings, Whittney, Quintin, Ryan and Raymond; niece and caregiver, Shariya; grandmothers Elite, Bertha Pinkerton and Louise Newsom; special thanks, Dr. Nancy Beveridge; special friend, Mr. Tim Easley.

Public viewing Monday, July 28, 2-6 p.m. at Smith Brothers Chapel; family visitation Tuesday, July 29, 11-12 p.m. with funeral to follow in Bethesda Original Church of God, 2816 Tucker Road; Bishop George W. Price, Jr., Pastor; Interment, Pinkerton Memorial Gardens, Christiana, TN.
