Born in Cullman Co., AL on July 4, 1927, passed away in Nashville, TN on August 1, 2014.

Survived by children, Gail (Roy) Levine, Rick (Tina) Key and Jack (Dianna) Key; grandchildren, April, Ty, Christie, Sarah, Jennifer, Mackenzie; and nine great-grandchildren.

A 50-year veteran of the music business, he started his career with Big Jim Folsom's Strawberry Pickers in Alabama. After several years as an entertainer and radio personality, he moved to Nashville and formed Newkeys Music with Jimmy C. Newman and his own Key Talent Agency, where he was instrumental in the careers of Dave Dudley, Tom T. Hall and Jeannie C. Riley.
