We were sisters. Yes, Sisters, in every sense of the word. I was the baby, my other sister Wilma (I called her Winky) was the oldest, Lillian was the next one (taken into the family, in love by my Mother (Billie), when Lill's real mother died at the age of one. Wilma and I are missing a piece of ourselves, now. Lill was the one that filled the empty space between us. God must have had a very special place and need for her, to have taken our sister away. I will be seeking her out as soon as God takes my body. I will tell her how much you all still miss her.

I just heard the news. I am so sorry for your loss but Lil is in a much better place. I have not seen her in many years but back in the day she was my best friend...sometimes she was the only one I could talk to because she understood exactly where I was coming from. We really had some good times and she will be missed by all. May God be with all of you during this trying time. She will live in our hearts forever.

Even though I've only known Lillian for a short while, I feel blessed to have spent time with her. She became a best freind to me and she shared many stories with me of her children and grandchildren. Her bus driving days, going to the beach to collect shells and recollections of good and bad times made for conversation that caused the time to fly by as we went about our days errands.
Lillian could make me laugh like few other people and I will cherish those times for the rest of my days. I will miss her very much and she will live in my heart forever.

My heart is broken as I am signing this book of my best friend. Lillian and I had so many great times. We talked about everything. Lillian made my world a happier place to be. She had a way that made you feel so special. the times I shared with her will forever be in my heart. I so wish that I could have known her, and had her in my life longer than I did. I do thank God for the times I spent with her. She was so proud of her children. She shared many stories with me about all the cute and funny things they did as children. Her eyes would shine when she talked about her grand children. Every shopping trip that she and I went on she was always looking for gifts for them. She had bought several things for them that were in her car when she had to go to the hospital. I hope those items are not forgotten and they are given to them. She had so much enjoyment buying for them.Lillian could always make me laugh, even when she was in the hospital and at the rehab center. I will miss her very much. I loved to hear her talk about how she loved walking on the beach and collecting shells. All her children know how blessed they were to have had a mom like her. My heart goes out to all that loved her, for a void will remain in thier heart forever. My dear Lillian was loved by so many. I have had many friends, but never one as dear to me as Lillian.
