Myron L. KING Sr. Obituary
KING, SR., Myron L.Age 89 of Nashville, passed away on the 16th of September, 2011. He was born October 22, 1921 in Hampton Bays, Long Island, NY to the late Walter Hewitt & Helen (Case) King. Myron was a pilot in the 401st Heavy Bomber Group in 1944-1945. He was shot down over Berlin February 3rd, 1945 and held as a P.O.W. in Russia at the beginning of the Cold War. This formerly Top Secret incident was chronicled in 2009 by historian, James Lee McDonough in "The Wars of Myron King." After returning from WWII, King founded Lyzon, Inc., where he encouraged many artists and created beautiful picture frames for many patrons in Nashville and across the country. Myron is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor Goodpasture King; his daughter, Catherine Wieneke; his son, Ron King and grandchildren, Michael, Lisa Lynn and David King. King was a generous man, a devoted husband, father and former Deacon at Hillsboro Church of Christ. He was a courageous true American hero, who was optimistic all his life. Funeral Services are to be held eleven thirty in the morning on Monday, the 19th of September, 2011 at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall, with Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from two o'clock in the afternoon until six o'clock in the evening on Sunday, the 18th of September, in the Iris-Lilly Drawing Room at
