HAUCK, Dr. Eugene Murphy Age 33, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Born in Hattiesburg, MS, he grew up in Sumrall. In 2002, he received a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Univ. of Minnesota and his Doctorate from UNMC, Omaha in 2007. On June 2, 2001, he was united in marriage to Valorie Sites of Nebraska. From 2007 through 2012, Gene practiced medicine as a General Surgery Resident at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Gene was preparing for a medical mission trip with his wife, Valorie, and family in Pignon, Haiti. He is survived by his wife, Valorie (Sites); children, Ella Grace (9), Riley and Kayleb (3); parents, Dawn (Harold) Parker, Sumrall, MS; Christie (Melissa) Hauck, College Grove, TN; sisters, Tatum Allsep (Michael) of Montgomery, AL, Sarah Parker, Nashville; brothers, Read Hauck and Noel (Heather) Glasgow, all of Nashville; grandparents, Joseph Tatum (Virginia), Hattiesburg, MS; Lucy Parker, Sumrall, MS; parents-in-law, Dave (Anita) Sites of Nebraska; brothers-in-law, Brent (Valerie) Sites and Loren (Elisha) Sites of Colorado; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Garret) Shaw of Nebraska, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gene was preceded in death by grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Allen Hauck, and grandmother, Lady Jean Tatum. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., October 13th in the Cross Garden at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2323 Old Hickory Blvd., Nashville, TN.
