HAASE, Glenn Russell Beloved husband, father and brother, was born January 20, 1945 in Toledo, OH and died on New Year's Day in Nashville, TN after a brave struggle with Parkinson's disease. Preceded in death by his mother, Marian and father, Verlin. Glenn leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Wise; children, Michael Haase, Emily Haase, Robert August Kyff, Jr. and Marion Kyff Dodd; sister, Gayle Lash. Glenn was known for his generosity, kindness and wit. His creativity found outlets like imaginary baseball games in the backyard and debate. Debate nurtured his natural love of playing with words and ideas, and was the through line for his days in high school, Mount Union College, and Duke University's School of Law. After graduating with his Juris Doctor from Duke, Glenn moved to San Diego and served with the JAG core in the U.S. Navy. Akron, OH came next. He began a long career as an attorney for Firestone, and finally moved to Nashville where he retired from Bridgestone/Firestone specializing in international law. The only thing that outshines his numerous professional accomplishments are his personal ones. Glenn was a loving husband, proud father, and an admired friend. He was The Tickle Monster, the inventor of Troll Tag, and the Phantom Memo Writer. There are few who met him who were not affected by his warmth, thoughtful nature, and sense of humor -a legacy that will be a shining light for his family now that his battle with Parkinson's has come to an end. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alive Hospice or the American Parkinson's Disease Association in Glenn's memory.
