HAMMER, II, SFC Philip GeorgeU.S. Army Ret. Age 51 of Pleasant View, TN. January 19, 2013. Preceded in death by wife, Dawn Marie Hammer; mother, Mary Frohmander; sister, Dehlia Hammer. He was employed by Bridgestone Americas, was an avid golfer. He worked hard, played hard and did everything to the fullest. Survived by wife, Cheryl Sauter Hammer; children, Timothy (Christine) Hammer, Stephanie Hammer and Gerald Saltkill; granddaughter, Alloura Hammer; sister, Trisha (Steve) Kauffman; brothers, George (Lori) Hammer & Charles (Kathy) Hammer; step father, John Frohmander; step sister, Linda Frohmander; step brother, John (Lana) Frohmander. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 2-7 p.m. with Wake Service at 7 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, January 25, 2013 at 9 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church, 601 Bell Road by Father Jayd Neely. Interment Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Institute.
