SHIVELEY, FrankOf Brentwood, passed away on January 20, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Lola Shiveley, and brother, Richard Shiveley. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Shiveley of Brentwood; sons, Steve (Mary Beth) Harnish of Rockville, MD, Scott (Shaun) Shiveley of Nashville and Eric Shiveley of Alamosa, CO; daughter, Kristie (Mark) Scott of Brentwood; granddaughters, Jackie Harnish, Reaghan Scott and Macy Scott; and cherished nieces and nephews. Frank grew up in Dayton, OH and graduated from Stivers High School in 1952. He lettered in basketball, track, and cross country. In 1952, he was the state champion in the 1/2 mile race and placed third in the mile. In 2007, he was inducted into the Stivers High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Upon graduation, Frank enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1952 to 1956. He spent his professional career as an engineer, retiring as a senior engineer at Whirlpool Corporation. Frank was a master craftsman who loved gardening and working outside. To honor and celebrate his life, Bishop Joe E. Pennel and Reverend Kaye Harvey will conduct a service at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 25th at Brentwood United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.
