MCEWEN, Jasper Odell Age 74 of Dickson, TN. May 4, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center. Former Dickson Co. Road Superintendent. Born in Cheatham Co., he was the son of the late Jasper O. "Bo" and Mary Estelle Reed McEwen. He formerly worked as a foreman for APAC Paving, Sessions Paving Co. and R.C. Derryberry Paving. He worked his whole life in various parts of road construction. He was a 1958 graduate of Dickson High School, Member of the Dickson Masonic Lodge 468, Shriner and a Scottish Rite Mason. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and member of the VFW. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Diane McEwen; his daughter, Sandy Spann; his granddaughter, Maria Spann; his brother, Mr. Bud McEwen; his sisters, Mary England and her husband Billy, Patricia Wade and her husband C.W. all of Dickson, TN. His remains are in the care of the Taylor Funeral Home where visitation will be Monday, May 6, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. James Carrington officiaiting. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Masonic Service will be Monday at 8 p.m. Those desiring, memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital or to the St. Jude's Hospital. Friends will serve as Active Casket Bearers and Honorary will be the Class of 1958 Dickson High School. Services under the direction of TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, (615) 446-2808
