Always such a kind man to Jimmy and I. Showed Jimmy some good licks on his steel guitar that Jimmy enjoyed playing. Always had time for us, as he did everyone. Sent a beautiful spray of flowers to Jimmy's funeral. Will never forget him and his beautiful wife. Will forever miss him!

Judy and family. My thoughts are with you all during this time of sadness. Robin and I have been out of town the past several weeks and unable to attend the visitation or funeral. Weldon was such a dear friend and played an important roll in the Four Guys career. He was like a brother and I'll miss him as though he was one. Bless you all in this time of need. I am deeply saddened by the loss of a good friend I have known since High School days at Girard High School in Kent County. I remember Weldon playing at talent shows there. I will always remember Weldon inviting me back stage at the Opry on a trip to Nashville. He would also allow some of us 'hackers' to play on his benefit shows he did in his home town of Jayton. A great, great Steel player and singer, and a perfect gentleman.
I, and all music world, will miss Weldon very much.

My family would like to express our deepest condolences on your loss. We send you prayers and ask God give you comfort and peace. My parents, Dan and Louise Whitaker, counted your parents as two of their greatest friends and held them in such high regard. I've heard many stories over the years of all of their exploits together. I came to visit in 1994 with my Mother and two small sons and Weldon came to see us and took us out to dinner. I know he will be missed very much.

Weldon's family I send my sincere sympathy. He was a great Steel Guitar player and will sure be missed.
