Alvin Ray Binkley, age 76, of Joelton, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Ray was a great family man, loving husband, and father. He was an antique car enthusiast, accomplished mechanic, and a lover of numbers. He is remembered for being able to easily do complex calculations faster in his head than someone could by using a calculator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Haywood and Ethel Binkley; and brothers Paul, John, and David, and Tommy.
Survivors include his wife Chris Binkley; son Terry Binkley; daughter Kim (Dennis) Reed; grandsons Brandon Phillips and Tim Reed; great grandchildren Elija and Kennedy; siblings Jerry (Nora) Binkley, Donnie Binkley, Marie (David) Wheeler, Ruth Felts, Janice (Rodney) Ford, and Yvonne Merritt; and a host of other family members.
Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home on Monday, October 24th from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Tuesday, October 25th from 12 noon until the hour of Service at 2 P.M. with Gary Waller and Bro. Randy Riggs officiating.
Interment will follow at Ever Rest of Cheatham. Family & Friends serve as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th Floor New York, NY 10004
