Casper V. Minier(1919 - 2014)

Casper "Cap" V. Minier, formerly of Addison, NY went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, April 13, 2014.

Born on July 15, 1919 in Woodhull, NY he was the son of the late Harry and Mazetta (Lyon) Minier. During World War II, Cap served in the United States Navy. Cap married Lelia Murray in 1941, she predeceased him in 2003.

Cap worked for over 50 years in the lumber yard at the Corning Building Company in Corning, NY. He was an active community member, serving as the Addison Assessor, a member of the Odd Fellows, the Masons, the Addison American Legion and the First Baptist Church of Addison.

He is survived by nephew, Melvin Murray; and niece, Roxanna (Donald) Warne both of Lehigh Acres, FL.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 10:00am – 11:00am at Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall St., Addison, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am, Pastor Scott Greene officiating. Burial will take place in the family plot at Addison Rural Cemetery, Addison, NY.
