Francis Joseph Billotte(1942 - 2014)

Francis Joseph Billotte, age 71, of Big Flats passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.

Fran was born March 29, 1942 in Phillipsburg, PA the son of the late Hilary and Anna (Mignot) Billotte.

He married Linda Quinn on August 21st, 1982 in Corning, she survives him.

Fran graduated from Northside High School, Corning class of 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 and was stationed in Germany. Fran retired from Northside Post Office, Corning NY as a Postal Service Supervisor after many years of service.

He was involved in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed fishing at Waneta Lake, driving his Corvette and running in several local events.

He is survived by his wife: Linda(Quinn) Billotte, one son: Andrew Billotte and his companion Jennifer Johner of Bath, NY sisters: Margaret (Tony) Lapp of Atwater, CA, Gladys Krantz of Thousand Oaks, CA, Mary (Larry) Linehan of Phelps , NY, Patricia (Roy) Lincourt of Wanakena, NY, Cathy (Jim) Yorio of Rochester, NY and two brothers: Robert (Sunnie) Billotte of Yuba City, CA, Rev. Philip Billotte of Frenchville, PA; brother -in-law David (Cheryl) Quinn of Painted Post, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Thursday, March 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St. Corning.

A Mass will be held Friday March 7th at 12:30 pm at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 222 Dodge Avenue in Corning with Rev. Philip Billotte officiating.

Memorials in Fran's name may be made to the Boy Scouts Of America, 244 W. Water St., Elmira, NY 14901.
