Jack W. Perkins, age 61, of Addison, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Corning Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1952 in Corning, the son of the late Lester S. and Wilma K. (Fenton) Perkins.
Jack graduated from Addison Central School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy
and later graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College. He worked for Corning Hospital as a registered respiratory therapist for 9 years. Prior to that, he was employed at Largo Medical Center in Florida. Jack enjoyed reading, music, and playing the air guitar.
He is survived by his only son, Noah S. Perkins of Addison; sisters, Kathleen Swan of Campbell, and Pamela (Bruce) MacPherson of Richardson, Texas; brother, Gary L. (Dawn) Perkins of West Valley, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Jack was predeceased by his brother-in-law, W. David Swan.
Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 East Pulteney Street in Corning on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Jack's Life will follow calling hours there at 8:00 pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Maple Cemetery in Addison.
