Jackson Riplinger Gallagher(1992 - 2014)

Jackson Riplinger Gallagher, age 21, of Corning passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at his home in Binghamton after a lengthy struggle with depression. Jackson was born March 24, 1992 in Wilmington, NC. He is the son of Dan Gallagher and Julie Riplinger.

He was studying Philosophy at SUNY Binghamton, NY. He was a 2010 graduate of East High School in Corning, NY. In recent years he worked at Penn York Camp in Ulysses, PA and Snug Harbor Inn in Hammondsport, NY.

He is survived by: his father Dan Gallagher (Janette) and mother Julie Riplinger (Rick Pettet); brother: Kevin (Alicia) Gallagher of Dansville, NY; grandmother, Ruth M. Gallagher; best friends Katarina VanDemark and Will Jacobs; step sisters Taylor and Somer Pettet and Aja Marchenkoff, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Thursday, February 13th from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Community Mennonite Fellowship, 290 Park Ave, Corning; a service will follow at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jackson's name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at www.afsp.donordrive.com/campaign/JacksonGallagher.
