Mary (Scott) Adam

Mary Scott (Canavan) Adam, 92 of 205 East First St., Corning, NY, formerly of Campbell, passed away Saturday December 28th, 20113 in the Founders Pavilion, Corning.

Born in Canton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy and the Nellie (Smith) Scott.

Mary graduated from Canton, PA High School and later from the Park Avenue Nursing School in Rochester.

She had been employed as a nurse for many years with Dr. Pierri, Dr. Foster, and Dr. Elton all of Corning.

Mary also worked with the Albany County Nursing Home for over a dozen years.

Mary later on was employed by the Campbell-Savona Central School, she retired in 1983.

She was a member of the Campbell United Methodist Church, Campbell Senior Citizens and enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
Mary was always available to help those less fortunate.

Surviving are two daughters: Marylee (John) Vanderhoef of Campbell, NY, and Lois Kerwan Hughes of Painted Post, NY, grandchildren Charles Vanderhoef, Michael (Christie) Kerwan, James (Robin) Kerwan, Thomas (Lynne) Kerwan and Susan (Ronald) Shaner,special person; Debra Kerwan, great grandchildren David Potter, Jessyka Alexander, Zackary Tuttle, Roni Shaner, Hillary Tuttle, Patrick Kerwan, McKenna Kerwan, Abby Kerwan, Ayla Kerwan, Emma Shaner, Lily Shaner, Peyton Ellis, great great grandson Braedon Tuttle, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at the Campbell United Methodist Church on Saturday January 25th at 2:00pm.
