Harry "Bud" Bush Obituary
CORNING, NY | Harry "Bud" Bush, age 86, of Sly Avenue in Corning, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.
He was born on July 9, 1927 in Wellsboro, the son of George and Gertrude (Harper) Bush.
He married Doris Dee on December 12, 1950 in Corning. She predeceased him on April 1, 2007.
Bud retired from Corning Inc. following 43 years of service and he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his wife Doris.
Bud was also a member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union and took pride in both Corning Inc. and the union.
He is survived by his daughter, Alice Jack of Christiansburg, VA; sons: Robert (Deb Wood) Bush and David (Paula) Bush, both of Corning; sisters: Beatrice (Lawrence) Hurlburt and Geraldine Trout; brother, Joseph (Patricia) Bush; sister-in-law, Mary (Ray) Wood; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bud was predeceased by his sisters: Genevieve Losinger, Dorothy Rouse, Margie Langan, and Judy Williams; brothers, Clifford, Wallace, and Larry Bush; and son-in-law, Richard Jack.
Family and friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
A celebration of Bud's life will follow calling hours there at 3:00 pm.
Burial will take place at Coopers Plains Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
