Kathryn Alice Brown, 66 years, of Fenderson St., Painted Post, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Corning Hospital, Corning, NY.

Kathryn was born on May 24, 1947 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Edmund C. and Florence (Stanton) Grace. Kathryn was a graduate of Corning West High School, class of 1965.

She later attended the Rochester Business Institute completing courses in Accounting.

She began working for Corning, Inc. as an accounts payable clerk, retiring in 2002 with 25 years of service.

Kathryn enjoyed many years playing softball with her many close friends from Corning, Inc.

She took many trips with her family and friends to Virginia and Myrtle Beach and vacationed every summer at Seneca Lake with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Her greatest joy came from being home with her family and spending quality time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter: Stacy (Joel) Husted of Montour Falls, NY; grandchildren: Christopher Husted and Rachel Husted; sister, Shirley (Jay) Allen of Calabash, NC; brother-in-law, Everett Bosket of Windsor, NY, several nieces, nephews and a group of very close friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was predeceased by her sister, Carol Bosket.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00pm at the funeral home, Rev. Glenn Kennedy officia ing.
