Stanley A. Ayers Obituary
Stanley A. Ayers, also known as Stan, age 74, of Addison, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Corning Hospital.

He was born in Coudersport, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1939, the son of Francis M. Ayers, where he lived before moving to the Corning area as a young man, where he worked for several local companies prior to finding a long standing job with Community Disposal Service of Corning before retiring from the trash industry in 2003.

Upon retiring Stanley delivered newspapers for The Corning Leader 'til present.

He married Violet "Ellie" Force-Copp on August 25, 2001 in Addison.

While Stanley was a hard worker, he stilled liked to have a good time with friends on his time off.

On weekends Stan could be found with good friends, some old country music on the juke box and a tall, cold Pabst in his hand and a smile on his face.

Preceding him in death were his father, Francis M. Ayers; a sister, Ruth Ayers; and a step-brother, Thomas Abbey.

His is survived by his wife, Ellie Ayers of Addison; his son, Keith Ayers also of Addison; a step-son, Gerald "Ed" Copp, Jr. of Addison; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Billy and Tammy Bulkley of Addison; a brother and sister-in-law, Galen and Kimberly Ayers of Painted Post; a brother, Roger Ayers of Corning; a step-brother and step-sister-in-law, Ron and Margie Abbey of Beaver Dams; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Royce of Corning; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Roy Jelliff of Corning; a sister, Karen Holden of Corning; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Joe Bardo of Corning; and a sister, Annadena Colburn of Pennsylvania; numerous nieces, nephews, step-nieces and step-nephews; and his two step-granddaughters, Savannah and Megan Bulkley of Addison; and a step-grandson, Damian Bulkley also of Addison.

Family and friends may call at Acly-Stover Funeral Home, 327 East Second St., Corning, on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00pm with funeral services to immediately follow.

Burial at The Ayers Hill Cemetery in Coudersport, PA will be held at the convenience of the family.
